American actor Michael Jeter is known for his roles in The Green Mile, Jurassic Park 3, Mouse Hunt and Waterworld. He also participated in theatrical productions and voiced animation films.
Biography
Michael Jeter was born in Lawrenceburg. He was born into the family of a doctor on August 26, 1952. Michael was not the only child. He grew up with a brother and four sisters. From his youth, Michael dreamed of following in the footsteps of his father, a dentist, and entered the medical faculty. Jeter was educated at the University of Memphis, but did not graduate. Michael switched to acting. At first he played in local theater productions.
After moving to Baltimore, Michael played on the stage to gain membership in the Actors' Union. Jeter later moved to New York, where he strove with his soul ever since he decided to devote himself to the theatrical craft.
Michael showed himself well. His hard work and talent was noticed by Tommy Thun, the author of famous theatrical productions. Tommy hired Jeter for a role in The Ninth Cloud. Thanks to this play, Michael gained recognition and fame. In 1989, Jeter played in Broadway musicals. For playing at the Grand Hotel, he won the Tony Award.
Career
In the 1980s, Jeter could be seen not only on the theater stage, but also on television. He got small roles in films and TV shows. In 1991 he took part in the filming of the comedy-drama The Fisher King. Jeter played a homeless singer. After 3 years, Michael got one of the main roles in the action adventure "The Landing Zone", and after another 4 years he played Dr. Blomkvist in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."
But Michael didn’t do with episodic roles alone. In 1997, he got a more serious character in The King of the Air, and 2 years later he played Edouard Delacroix, who tamed the mouse, in The Green Mile. Jeter received an Emmy for his participation in the comedy "Evenings Shadow". The kids know Michael as Mr. Noodle from Sesame Street. Jeter was involved in this project from 2000 to 2003.

Because of addictions, Michael Jeter's film career came to naught. He was no longer invited to films, and he almost disappeared from television screens. At the end of his cinematic career, he voiced the animated film The Polar Express. Jeter died due to an epileptic seizure. The date of death of the actor is March 30, 2003. Michael was only 50 years old.
