Hervé Vilesès (full name Hervé Jean-Pierre) is a French actor. He is best known for his roles in the series "Fantasy Island" and the film about the adventures of James Bond "The Man with the Golden Gun."

The boy was born in the spring of 1943 in France. Herve has a brother, Patrick. Hervé was raised by her mother. He never found out who his real father was. A few years later, my mother married a practicing surgeon, Andre Vilešez.
As a child, Hervé was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that did not respond to treatment. It affected his growth and the work of internal organs.
Hervé almost stopped growing before school. His adoptive father tried in every possible way to help the boy, looking for a cure for the disease. But no means helped. Herve remained small.
During his school years, it was difficult for him. He had practically no friends. Peers in every possible way mocked the boy, constantly teased and humiliated. He tried not to pay attention to them and never showed aggression. To brighten up his loneliness and lack of friends, Herve completely immersed himself in creativity and began to paint.
After completing his primary education, Hervé continued his painting studies at the Beaux-Arts School of Fine Arts in Paris. Already in his student years, he made a personal exhibition of paintings that were highly appreciated by critics.
When Hervé was twenty-one, he left France for America and settled in New York. There, the young man continued to study painting and photography, studied English and first appeared on the stage and on television.
Vilesez played several small roles in plays by S. Shepard and W. Lypolt on Broadway. During the same period, Hervé took part in a photo shoot for the National Lampoon magazine.
Film career
For the first time in the cinema, Vilesez appeared in the late 1960s. He was offered cameo roles in little-known films.
None of these roles brought Hervé fame and popularity. His earnings were so meager that he could not even afford to rent a room. Therefore, he lived in a car for some time and took on any job offered.
In 1971, Hervé starred in The Gang That Couldn't Shoot, and a year later in the comedy western The Palace of Gricera. Then there were small roles in the films: "Mad Joe", "Hostage-taking".
Herve got the most significant role in the next Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun". James Bond in this film was played by Roger Moore. Vileshez appeared on the screen as Nick Nack.
Hervé played another famous role in the TV series Fantasy Island, becoming a nominee for the Golden Globe.
In the further career of Vileshez, there were roles in projects: "Forbidden Zone", "Stuntmen", "Airplane 2", "Merging of Two Moons". He also took part in the entertainment programs The Carol Burnett Show and The Ben Stiller Show.
Personal life
Herve's first wife was Anna Sadowski. The marriage took place in 1970, and in 1979 they divorced.
In 1980, Hervé married actress Camille Hagen. Their marriage only lasted two years.
In the last years of his life, Herve suffered from severe depression and constant pain. His internal organs were of normal size. The small body actually squeezed them, which eventually led to disruption of the digestive system and lungs. In 1992, he miraculously survived pneumonia.
Health problems led to the fact that in the fall of 1993 he decided to commit suicide. Herve wrote a suicide note and filmed a video message. His common-law wife Katie Self found him with a gunshot wound. Herve was urgently taken to the clinic. He was alive for several more hours. But he died without regaining consciousness.
By the will of Vileshez, he was cremated, and his ashes were scattered over the sea.
