Each generation of people has its own heroes and songs. During the Soviet period, films were created that were watched by the whole country. The actors were known by sight at the farthest borders of the Soviet Union. Mark Bernes acted in films and sang heartfelt songs.
Childhood and youth
In those early years, it was difficult for a child from a poor family to get an education and, as they say, break out into people. This happened under favorable circumstances, but not often. It was only after the October Revolution of 1917 that the situation in the country changed dramatically. Mark Naumovich Bernes was born on October 8, 1911 in the family of an employee. Parents at that time lived in the small Ukrainian town of Nizhyn. My father worked in an artel for the collection and processing of waste materials. The mother kept the household and raised the children.
The future movie actor and performer of pop songs in childhood was no different from his peers. He spent all his free time on the street. Once on the market square a mobile comedy theater gave a performance. The boy accidentally got into the auditorium and forever remembered all the events that took place on the stage. After that, Mark knew for sure that he would become an actor. Although my father really wanted him to get the profession of an accountant. When the boy was five years old, the family moved to the famous city of Kharkov.
Creative way
Mark studied well at school. After mastering the school curriculum, he entered the trade and economic college. In parallel with his studies, he regularly visited the city theater and did it not only as a spectator. Mark put up posters and invited the audience to the next performance. After a short period of time, he was accepted into the group of theatrical extras. At first, he went on stage in the crowd, but then they began to trust him with roles without words. The aspiring actor dropped out of the trade college and entered the drama school. In 1929, the graduated actor went to Moscow and found a job in his specialty.
In 1936, Bernes starred in the film Prisoners. Two years later, the film "Man with a Gun" was released. In this project, Bernes not only played the vivid role of a young fighter, but also sang the song "Clouds have risen over the city", which in a matter of days became a hit. After the release of the film "Two Soldiers", Mark Naumovich became a truly people's artist. The songs "Dark Night" and "Shalanda", which were performed by Bernes, betray the film's special insight.
Recognition and privacy
Critics noted that all films with the participation of Mark Bernes were highly appreciated by the audience. The actor regularly appeared on the radio, performing songs by Soviet composers and poets. The whole country knew by heart the songs "Enemies burned their native hut", "Cranes", "Where the Motherland begins". Bernes was awarded the honorary title "People's Artist of the RSFSR".
The singer's personal life has developed dramatically. He survived the death of his first wife due to cancer. He has a two-year-old daughter in his arms. But fate smiled at Mark Naumovich, and he met a worthy woman. With Lilia Bobrova, he lived the rest of his life. The actor passed away in August 1969.
