Biography
Aliya was born in the spring of 1993 in a real cinematic dynasty. The actress's grandmother is the famous Shirin in the 30s, her father is Mahesha Bhatt, screenwriter, director and producer, her mother is Sonya Hrazdan, a popular actress and director. In the family, in addition to Aliya, there are three more children - her own sister Shahin and half-brother and sister Rahul and Puja. Almost all the relatives of this friendly clan are related to cinema - uncles, aunts, cousins of the actress and her brothers and sisters take part in the creation of Bollywood films.
Since childhood, the Bhatts' daughter literally lived in an atmosphere of endless creativity, stories, books and theater. The thought that she would become an actress became natural for the girl and, of course, her parents supported her aspirations. Already at the age of six, she first appeared on the set, playing in an episode of the 1999 thriller Sangharsh (in Russian translation - "Crime Novel"), the producer and screenwriter of which were the relatives of the young actress.
Film career
But the first serious work on the role in the film took place with Alia Bhatt only in 2012 in the film "Student of the Year", filmed by the studio Dharma Product. She embodied one of the central characters in this romantic-comedic teenage story, which became a real hit in India. In subsequent years, the actress continued her collaboration with Dharma Product, appearing in many of the company's projects.
In 2014, the actress starred in three full-length films at once, the first of which, "Highway", was not very successful, but two others, "2 states" and "Bride of Humpty Sharma" brought Alia wide fame and became hits. By the way, for the painting "2 states" the girl learned the Mamil language in order to fully correspond to the image of her character - a self-willed beauty from the Tamil people. In the same year, Bhatt released a solo album that became popular.
The next year, 2015, Aliya took part in three more projects, one of which, Flying Punjab, brought her the most prestigious Bollywood award for Best Actress. After her resounding success on the silver screen, the actress launched her own line of handbags and apparel, and is also the founder of the environmental initiative CoExist. Alia is dating actor Siddharth Malhotra.
