Biography
Alexander Vasilievich Bondar was born in September 1952 in the village of Lipovets, Vinnitsa region of Ukraine. His family was not poor, but Sasha's parents could not afford much either. However, this did not prevent the boy from independently entering the technical school of railway transport and graduating with honors.
In 1971, Alexander was drafted into the Soviet army, where he ended up in the missile forces unit. After demobilization, he got a job as a railway master in his hometown. In the same year, Lenin made a decision on the massive construction of railways throughout Russia, and Alexander had the share to build them.

The team of Alexander Bondar began its work with deforestation for the highway. Then they erected wooden bridges on the roadside road and erected culverts. Over the long years of his work, Alexander and his team have laid more than 300 kilometers of the railway track.

By laying this railway link, he earned the title of "Hero of Socialist Labor" and became an honorary citizen of the Sakha Republic.
