The overwhelming majority have a permanent residence permit (now called “registration at the place of residence”) - but not everyone lives where they are registered. In such cases, the question arises about the need for temporary registration.

Instructions

Step 1

A few years ago, it was necessary to register at the place of temporary residence within ten days. Now the demands have softened And if you come to another city for up to 90 days, you can do without unnecessary formalities. But if the change of place of residence involves a longer stay away from the place of registration - it's time to start the paperwork.

Step 2

Unlike permanent registration, temporary registration can be done without much difficulty. The main condition is the consent of all adult owners of the apartment in which you live. An exception is made only for children - minors can be registered at the place of residence of their parents without anyone's consent.

Step 3

The package of documents required to make the registration includes an application for registration (form No. 1, the form can be downloaded on the website of the migration service), a passport or other identity card, and a statement from the owner of the home.

Step 4

The application is "endorsed" by the district police officer, after which all documents are transferred to the district department of the FMS at the place of registration. Both the owner and you yourself can submit documents. The application must be considered within three days, after which a certificate of registration or refusal of registration is issued.
