Taking an active civic position, Kholmogorov is not limited to journalistic creativity. He is trying to make a career in the political arena. In the next elections, being a member of the Free Russia party, he ran for deputies of the Moscow City Duma. The candidate did not receive proper support from voters. For some time, Yegor collaborated with the NTV television company. In 2016, he was invited to the post of a columnist for the Tsargrad TV channel.
