Producer, screenwriter, image maker, member of the Public Chamber of the Moscow Region - it's all about Yuri Grymov. He also runs the Yug Theater Studio and the Modern Theater. He is also a talented photographer and theater director - so many activities and talents are few in whom you can see.
Yuri was born in 1966 in Moscow. He was not a "public favorite" as a child, and even at school he did not like to study. Basketball, which the boy played with pleasure, saved a little. He also drew with enthusiasm.
From childhood, Yuri understood that he was not like everyone else - he was interested in things that other children were indifferent to. He loved to watch the action, the movement, the visuals.
After school, the army was waiting for Grymov - an urgent service. He served in the artillery troops, was a repairman.
After the army, Yuri decided to get an education and entered a technical school, however, there, too, his studies did not work out for him, so he had to go to the factory as workers. And at the same time, a slender, tall guy was demonstrating clothing models in the "Lux" center. At first it was just a part-time job, and then he got to shoot Valery Leontyev's video, and realized that shooting such videos could be of interest to him.
However, the creative path of the future producer began with advertising. He shot not just videos - they were whole stories with their own plots, and this work received many prizes at advertising festivals in Russia and abroad.
Then he began to shoot videos for artists: Alla Pugacheva, Oleg Gazmanov, Alsu and others.
Grymov was always attracted by large-scale projects, and he decided to start directing films. The film-short story "Male Revelations" turned out to be successful, and now a novice director swings at the full-length film "Mu-mu" with the participation of famous artists. This film was awarded at the Kinotavr festival, and it also has nine other awards from various festivals.
However, this was only the beginning - the first film was followed by "The Collector", "Casus Kukotsky", "Aliens" and other films. He also has several television projects and documentaries.
As a theater director, Grymov staged the performances Dali, Nirvana, The Tsar's Bride and others.
As for photography, his love for visual things was fully manifested here, and now you will not surprise anyone with the fact that the producer and director holds personal photo exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
Another area of Grymov's activity is public. He is engaged in youth Internet projects, works in the Public Chamber of the Moscow Region.
And Yuri's interest in wine production is not at all similar to the director's or production activities. But, nevertheless, he has his own brand of wine "MIDSUMMER".
In an interview, Yuri Grymov said that his family is the main thing in his life.
The story of his marriage is interesting: he gave a lift to the girl Olga in a car, and three days later they were already at the registry office to register the marriage.
The Grymovs have a daughter, Antonina, who lives in France. Sometimes he comes to participate in the next project of Yuri.
