All citizens of the Russian Federation are required to obtain a passport upon reaching the age of 14. Russians permanently residing abroad do not need it: their identity is certified by an international passport. But in the case of moving to the Russian Federation for permanent residence, they also need to issue an internal passport. Step 1
Make sure you have the required documents. For those who receive a passport upon reaching the age of 14, this is a birth certificate with a mark of belonging to the citizenship of the Russian Federation, for Russians returning from abroad - a passport. Those who need a new passport in connection with the loss must present a birth certificate, and due to damage - a document that has become unusable and a birth certificate.
If you cannot find the certificate, you will have to contact the registry office to which it was issued.
Step 2
Take a photo. You will need two photos of 35x45 mm, black and white or color, full face, with a clear image of the face, without a headdress. An exception if photographing without a headdress contradicts religious beliefs (this applies, first of all, to Muslim women: according to Sharia canons, a woman's hair should not be seen by strangers). Those who wear glasses should be sure to wear them, but without tinted glasses.
Step 3
Pay the state fee. Its size is 200 rubles (you can check it at the passport office of the housing office, the FMS department, on the website of its regional department or the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation and the Gosuslugi.ru portal. regional administration or consultants in the Sberbank branch.
Step 4
You can download the passport application form on the websites of the FMS divisions of various levels, the Gosuslugi.ru portal, or get it from the passport office of the housing office or the territorial division of the FMS.
You can also fill it out on the Internet at the Gosuslugi.ru portal and submit it to the required FMS department online.
Step 5
With a ready-made set of documents, come to the passport office of the housing office or the district department of the FMS. You can apply for a passport not only at the place of residence, but also of stay and even actual residence. But in the first case, the passport will be ready in a maximum of 10 days, and in the rest, you will have to wait up to 2 months.
