Step 1
It is imperative to enter passport data in the notification. But remember that not only a passport is an identity document. This list includes a foreign passport, a military ID, a sailor's identity card, a certificate of release from places of detention, a certificate of a member of the Federation Council or a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. As well as a national passport or identity card with an insert "Visa", or a certificate of registration at the place of residence or stay, a residence permit issued by the internal affairs bodies to foreign citizens, a birth certificate for persons under 14 years of age.
Step 2
Issue a power of attorney. If your passport is being exchanged, then you should have a temporary document in your hands, thanks to which you can easily issue a power of attorney with a notary. If you do not have a temporary document, then immediately request it from the appropriate authorities. There is also a temporary passport in case of loss, which is issued on the very first day of application.
Step 3
Do not rely on a driver's license, they are not an identity document in Russia. You cannot sell an apartment or get married with a driver's license. Try to look in your documents for a photocopy of your passport, if decent people work at the post office or you are a frequent visitor to this department, then they will enter your position and issue a parcel.
Step 4
For bedridden patients, the parcel is delivered to their home, it is only necessary for relatives to call the post office and explain the situation, if there is a power of attorney, problems will not arise. Although the postman should still require a passport from the bedridden patient, do not forget this.
