In addition to the well-known federal government bodies, there are also local ones. Their structure differs depending on what type the subject of the federation belongs to: oblast, republic or krai. The region, as a structure more autonomous than the region, has its own characteristics in the structure of the local administration.
Instructions
Step 1
The regional administration is a state body that manages the territory entrusted to it. That is, the administration is an integral part of the executive branch.
Step 2
The administration is headed by the governor. Under a reform in 2005, the election of governors was canceled. A person is appointed to this position if the president has submitted his candidacy to the regional legislative assembly, and it has been approved. The governor has several deputies for various issues. Their number and function may vary depending on the particular region.
Step 3
Also, the administration includes various governing bodies. These are various departments, main departments and commissions responsible for economic and cultural issues, as well as for various types of control activities. Separately, we can note the regional representative office under the government of the Russian Federation, which performs the function of liaison with federal government bodies.
Step 4
What are the activities of the administration? As an executive authority, it determines the regional policy in various areas. Administrative bodies, together with legislative bodies, participate in the development of the regional budget, which must subsequently be approved by the governor. Also, the administration is developing various regulations and orders designed to regulate various daily activities. Another important function is control. For example, the administration can oversee the rational use of natural resources, construction, and so on.
Step 5
There are also separate departments responsible for various forms of public relations. Their competence includes establishing contacts with various organizations, as well as informing the population about the essence of the regional administration's activities.
