Vladimir Soshalsky is a wonderful actor who is familiar to viewers for a number of vivid and memorable roles in films. His personal life deserves special attention. Soshalsky was married 7 times, but everyone considered him an exemplary family man.
Childhood, adolescence and first roles
Soshalsky Vladimir Borisovich was born in Leningrad in 1929. His parents were talented and famous actors, so he moved in this environment from childhood and his future was predetermined. When Vladimir was still very young, his father left the family and only his mother, Varvara Rosalion-Soshalskaya, was engaged in upbringing. She was friends with Anna Akhmatova and other brilliant creative people of that time and was unusually beautiful.
From an early age, Vladimir's mother took her son on tour and the future movie star called himself an "actor's son." Once a funny incident happened to him. Mom left him behind the scenes and at the most tragic moment of the performance little Vladimir went on stage, which greatly amused the audience.
Soshalsky did not like to study at school and it was difficult for him to study. Only the Russian language and literature were really interesting to him. After graduation, Vladimir entered the theater studio, which was located at the Youth Theater in Leningrad. Within these walls, the young actor brilliantly played Neznamov in the play "Guilty Without Guilt" and this role was a success. Later, the actor more than once admitted that this role became his most beloved, although the audience loved his other characters more.
A little later, Soshalsky played Romeo in a Shakespearean drama. There were many applicants for this role, but he was chosen. Vladimir did not like the fact that he had to learn too much text, but after this performance they began to recognize him on the street, he had a lot of fans who did not give him a pass even on the street. His photo was published in the Ogonyok magazine, which at that time was very prestigious.
Soshalsky's popularity grew and he was admitted to the Moscow Theater of the Soviet Army. It is worth noting that he did not part with this theater and played in it until his last days.
Success in cinematography
Success on the stage did not fully satisfy the ambitions of the actor and he decided to try himself in the cinema. The first roles of Soshalsky were only episodic. His last name was not even in the credits. But this did not stop the actor. In 1955 he was lucky enough to play Count Shuvalov in the wonderful film "Mikhailo Lomonosov". Despite the fact that the picture was a success, after that Vladimir was not offered serious roles for a long time. Real and deafening fame came to him some time later. Over the years, Soshalsky became even more interesting, more charismatic and from a young boy turned into a brutal man.
In the seventies of the last century, the actor was very popular. His filmography is quite extensive, but especially the audience remembered and fell in love with several paintings with his participation:

Personal life
Soshalsky's personal life has always been the subject of gossip. In his youth, he was known as a real heartthrob. Vladimir Borisovich loved women and did not stay in a relationship for a long time. The actor was officially married seven times. In addition, he had vivid novels, which did not lead to the design of the relationship. At the same time, Soshalsky had a principle - he did not deceive his wives and lovers and honestly announced the separation when he met another love and muse. All ex-wives spoke of him very warmly and did not hold any grudge against him.
The first time the actor married in his youth to actress Olga Arosyeva, when he played in the Youth Theater. The marriage did not last even a year. The second wife of the actor was the ballerina Nina Olkhina, and the third was the actress Nelly Podgornaya. He quickly divorced Nelly and married the beautiful Marina Skuratova. When life with his new wife did not work out, he again returned to Nelly and in this relationship their daughter Katya was born. But the child did not save the union of the two actors.
After that, Vladimir Borisovich married several more times and Nonna Mordyukova became one of his chosen ones, the marriage with whom did not last even six months. Mordyukova did not like the fact that her husband always invited guests to the house, loved creative meetings and gatherings.
The last wife of the actor was the head of the repertoire of the Theater of the Russian Army Svetlana. This marriage turned out to be the strongest and most successful. Perhaps Soshalsky just decided to settle down or finally met his soul mate. In 1999, a young wife gave birth to his son, who was also named Vladimir. The popular actor turned 70 at that time.
In 2007, Soshalsky was diagnosed with an illness that turned out to be serious. He had prostate cancer. The actor did not want to give up so easily and went out until the last moment on the stage of his native theater, where he played in the production of "The Miser". In his last appearances, the audience saw off Vladimir Borisovich with loud applause. But the disease did not recede, and his relatives were forced to place Soshalsky in a hospice, as he needed special care and medicines. His wife Svetlana and the eldest daughter Catherine, who at that time had become a mother herself, often came to him.
October 10, 2007 Soshalsky died. The actor was buried next to his mother at the Troekurovsky cemetery.
