The state maintains statistical records of all legal entities, therefore, in the process of registering an enterprise of any form of ownership, you need to register it with the Rosgosstat authorities, without which opening a bank account will be simply impossible. The fact of registration must be confirmed by an information letter from the statistics authorities, in which the company also receives codes for those types of economic activities that it is going to carry out.
Instructions
Step 1
You need to receive an information letter from statistics not only in the case of registering a new enterprise. You will also need it if you change the legal address or registration address of an individual entrepreneur, change the name of the company, open its new subsidiaries, change and supplement the types of economic activities. You may need the Information Letter to provide it upon request from Customs or other government agency.
Step 2
Write a request to the territorial office of Rosgosstat, which carries out statistical records at the address at which your company is registered. In it, state a request to prepare an information letter confirming that your enterprise is included in the Statistical State Register of Business Entities, and carries out its activities according to the relevant OKVED codes. Indicate one of the reasons listed above as the basis for issuing a letter.
Step 3
In your request, list the following notarized documents as attachments: a copy of the OGRN assignment certificate, a copy of the tax registration certificate and TIN assignment, a copy of an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE). Do not forget to attach these documents to your request.
Step 4
You should clarify with your territorial body of state statistics the composition of the required package of documents. It may vary depending on the reasons you provide as the basis for requesting the newsletter.
Step 5
To receive an information letter no earlier than 6 working days, you should appear at the State Statistics Service, having with you a passport and a power of attorney issued in your name, as well as a certificate of registration of an enterprise in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities or its uncertified copy.
