Most people are of the opinion that contacting a police officer is more expensive for themselves, but sometimes, in order to defend your rights and catch a police officer (now a police officer) of committing illegal actions or exceeding his official powers, you need to go through many instances, similar to the circles of Hell in the famous comedy Dante.
Instructions
Step 1
But you must send a complaint to the competent authorities. In fact, the possibility of appealing against the actions of a representative of the law is a weighty guarantee of self-defense, but not always one hundred percent.
Step 2
You can complain to several instances. Complaint directly to a police officer or to a higher authority. In this case, you state your complaints in writing and submit an application to the official who is subordinate to the employee who deserves your dissatisfaction.
Step 3
To do this, of course, you must first find out which department the police officer is. You can see this on the law enforcement officer's numbered token or ask him directly. He has no right to hide such information, as it is a disciplinary violation.
Step 4
Usually, the complaint does not have any strict form, and is provided by you in writing indicating your initials, the essence of the case and the name of the police, which is the object of your claims. But still it has its own unspoken structure.
Step 5
Your complaint should contain three conditional parts: introductory (formal), descriptive and “pleading”. Accordingly, start the application from the formal part, indicating in full your data, as well as the position and surname of the person to whom the complaint is addressed. Having filled in the cap, proceed to the presentation of events in which your rights were violated by the policeman or your legitimate interests were infringed. Please note that it is advisable not only to state the facts, but to refer to the fact that there were witnesses during the conflict or, for example, there is a video recording, etc. In the request part, you need to indicate what kind of proceedings you think should be conducted: disciplinary or criminal.
Step 6
At the end of the complaint, you must sign and date. Give (send) one copy, and keep the second one with a note of acceptance. By law, the complaint must be considered within 10 days.
Step 7
Complaint to the prosecutor. The law allows citizens whose rights have been violated by representatives of the law, to apply to the prosecutor's office, as a higher authority, with complaints and applications that must be considered within the time limits established by law. The form of drawing up a complaint is the same and the requirements for it are similar.
