Childhood, education
The hometown of Volodya Savelyev is Donetsk, where he was born into an acting family on November 15, 1946. Dad was a provincial actor who ran the local House of Culture, mom served in a drama theater and worked with the studio children in acting. The family had two more daughters. At the age of 8 he took the stage, playing a role in The Snow Queen.
He was not particularly eager to study, after graduating from an eight-year school he tried to enter a theater school, but unsuccessfully. Before the army, he managed to graduate from the Forestry College, where he was happy to lead an amateur group.
He began to write poetry early. In the 4th grade, he fell in love with a girl and dedicated his first lines to her. And then he even handed over essays in verse in literature lessons. He explains this fact by the fact that it is allowed to put punctuation marks in poetry in his own way, the author's text allows, but he was not friends with the rules of grammar.
Writing in poetry helped him, after serving in the army, where he began to write and songs, to enter the Donetsk Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Philology.
After graduating from university, he did not engage in teaching for a long time, immediately realized that this was not his vocation.
Creation
Two years later, having left for Moscow, Vladimir got a job as a teacher in the women's hostel of Moslift, where he recorded his first album in a small room, created a small musical group of three.
Then for ten years they perform in restaurants and on orders throughout the capital. He says that during this time he covered almost the entire repertoire of the Soviet Union, performances lasted, at times, for 6-8 hours.
There, for the first time, his song was performed from the big stage: Alla Ioshpe and Stakhan Rakhimov, working in the Mosconcert, sang his First Snow. By the way, Alla advised him to take his mother's maiden name - Asmolova, as a stage name. And the Odessa-emigrant style of songs suggests the image - a kind of guy in a sea cap.
Later, his songs sounded in the repertoire of Medyanik, Kirkorov, Leps, Amiramov.
In October 1988, his third album of songs, "Tin Soul", was released. He made Asmolov famous. Already in May, his first solo concert took place in Kiev, and by the end of the year he gave six concerts in a row at the stage theater. As part of the national teams, Vladimir Asmolov traveled all over the country.
In the early 90s, the singer went on tour to the United States, with concerts he traveled all over America from the West to the East coast. Upon returning to New York, under the impression of visiting the country, in the Russian studio in Manhattan, he recorded his American Album in one night, so beloved by the fans of his talent.
Unfortunately, there was no art director who could really "promote" the artist, and his fame is gradually declining. He still releases one to four albums a year, but his listeners are people from the "dashing" nineties.
Vladimir Pavlovich is very strict about his work. He writes music and poetry himself, but he still considers the text to be the main thing in the song. As he himself says, for many years he had to deal with learning in 4 quatrains to express the topic and attitude towards it.
The author - performer, who influenced the choice of his role, calls Vladimir Vysotsky. "He left at 42, I was born at 42."This refers to his creative birth as an artist.
Personal life
Vladimir Asmolov does not like to dwell on the topic of his personal life. He only says that he did not meet his one and only, although he fell in love a lot, devoted songs to women.
His first wife's name is Olya, at the time of the meeting she was working as a secretary in the Yu. Nikulin circus. Olya gave him a son, Pavel. Now he is already an adult, works, writes arrangements for his father's albums.
The second child, a daughter, gave birth to Vladimir Irina, a citizen of Germany. The woman charmed him with letters on the Internet, where they talked for almost a year, night calls and long conversations. Then she came to Russia. And then there was a misfortune with her eldest son, and Irina was forced to go back, and took her daughter with her.
