The summer heat is not an easy test for people, especially those living in such large cities as Moscow. Naturally, at the first opportunity the townspeople strive for water. However, not all Moscow beaches are suitable for swimming. For example, this year the Moscow authorities allowed swimming only in seven out of eleven recreation areas. The other four zones - Troparevsky pond, Bolshoi Sadovy pond, Beach Club and Levoberezhny were recognized as hazardous to human health due to unsatisfactory sanitary and hygienic conditions of water and sand.
Environmentalists treat water pollution much stricter than the Moscow authorities. They insist that you shouldn't swim in the capital at all. In their opinion, only the beaches in Serebryany Bor, which is located in the northwest of the metropolis, are more or less suitable for this purpose. The water there is in a satisfactory condition. And in other places, its quality is much worse. It should be noted that even on the beaches "Serebryany Bor-2" and "Serebryany Bor-3" swimming was temporarily prohibited, and this ban was lifted only on July 19, 2012. What can we say about water in other areas!
Nevertheless, Muscovites and guests of the Russian capital stubbornly continue to swim even where it cannot be done, regardless of prohibiting signs. They justify their behavior with a short and simple argument: "It's so hot!" This is humanly understandable, but the desire to freshen up can be very harmful to health. For example, the same environmental organizations argue that swimming in such popular places as Troparevsky Pond, Bolshoy Sadovy Pond or Beach Club should never be taken at all, even with permission from Rospotrebnadzor.
In the water near the Beach Club, the concentration of oil products often significantly exceeds the permissible values, and in the ponds, the concentration of E. coli is high. But a certain amount of water during swimming necessarily gets into the oral cavity. And the consequences can be very unpleasant.
In addition, the service on many beaches is poor. After all, people come there for a long time, in order not only to plunge into the water, but also to sunbathe and relax. And there are very few changing cabins, toilets are often in poor condition, as is the surrounding area.
