After the nomination and registration of candidates, the election campaign usually starts. It is already impossible to imagine any elections at any level without active pre-election campaigning. However, this process is regulated by a rather strict framework of the law.
Instructions
Step 1
Check out the legislative and legal acts regulating the course of the election campaign. Pay special attention to the sections that regulate the procedure for campaigning in the media, since the outcome of the elections largely depends on how well the campaign is organized in the press, on TV and on the Internet.
Step 2
Find out, if possible, what your opponents are planning to do in the race. This is necessary at least in order to be able to defend yourself if they, bypassing all laws, take some moves against you.
Step 3
Do not forget that you can only use funds from the electoral fund to finance the election campaign, therefore, as soon as you (or your party or public association) are registered as a candidate, make an estimate of the costs. In addition to advertising in the media and the Internet, it can be meetings with voters, round tables, debates and conferences, events in support of a candidate or party, outdoor advertising, gift sets with your symbols, etc.
Step 4
Sign a contract with an advertising agency to run the campaign. Present all the necessary materials to its employees (election program, biographies of candidates, photo, video and audio materials). Consider all proposals for the campaign, approve the final plan for its implementation.
Step 5
Contact the election commission and submit to it for consideration all the layouts of future posters, brochures, articles, scripts for commercials, banners, etc. for agreement. If the commission has any comments, review a number of decisions made and contact again.
Step 6
Prepare well to participate in the debate, as often the outcome of the pre-election race depends on how you are able to oppose.
Step 7
On the day before the elections (on the so-called "day of silence"), personally check that there is no mention of you and your party in the media. Outdoor advertising can remain intact if it was placed during the campaign.
