The Sword series is the story of a team of former military personnel who decided to fight crime with their own unusual methods. The series premiered in the fall of 2009 in Ukraine, and in early 2010 in Russia.
The script for this action movie belongs to Ilya Kulikov and Vasily Vnukov. Each episode is approximately 50 minutes long. There are 25 such episodes in the series. At the moment, the continuation of the series is not expected, since the story is considered complete. In addition, REN has officially announced that there will be no second season.

Story line
The main character of the picture is Maxim Kalinin. This man has rich experience both in military affairs and in work in law enforcement agencies. Once Maxim detains a dangerous criminal who turns out to be the son of an influential person. As a result, the villain is released with practically impunity, while the just Maxim is fired from his favorite job. At this moment, Kalinin decides that he needs to take justice into his own hands. He kills the criminal by catching him in a cafe.
In episode 14, when the team chooses a motto for their organization, Kostya quotes the phrase: “What are the laws to me when the judges are familiar”. This phrase is the slogan of the series "Capercaillie".
Realizing the helplessness and venality of law enforcement agencies, Maxim decides to create his own punitive team, whose mission will be to exterminate all those who managed to escape justice. Having gone to Krasnoyarsk, the man invites his former colleague Konstantin to become partners and defend the truth together. Having returned to Moscow, now two punishers begin their activities.
To begin with, young people need money to buy all the necessary equipment, mainly weapons. As a result of a successful operation, they manage to take money from the representatives of the underworld. Later, Maxim and Konstantin recruit five more fighters for justice into their team. They are all experienced military men who have been offended in one way or another by the justice system.
Now the organization, which the heroes call "The Sword", is becoming the number one target for both criminals and law enforcement agencies. The most arrogant and dangerous criminals become victims of the "swords". Over time, the circle of these victims expands, and at the same time, the danger that threatens the main characters increases. But they do not intend to give up.
