The dream of an article as a pianist came to the eight-year-old Maksim Mrvitsa, when he saw a piano for the first time while visiting a friend. Over the years, the Croatian performer is called one of the most talented and famous European performers.
The name of Maxim Mrvitsa was given to the annual competition of young performers.
Road to success
The biography of the future musician began in 1985. The boy was born on May 3 in the Croatian town of Sibenik. In the family, no one was engaged in art, but the parents approved of the son's hobby. Maxim studied at a music school. The giftedness of the boy was noted by the teachers at once.
The eight-year-old student realized that he dreamed of becoming a professional pianist. Classes were not interrupted even during the hostilities in Yugoslavia. A family with a fifteen-year-old teenager had to leave their homeland after four years of life full of dangers.
Maxim in 1993 took part in the festival held in Zagreb. The audience and the jury were captivated by the charisma and talent of the 18-year-old. Mrvica won the main prize of the competition. To this day, the pianist considers this event the most striking in his career. Nobody could believe that the winner was engaged during the war in Sibenik.
Then there was a study at a music university in Zagreb. After 5 years, the student continued to improve his skills at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Budapest. In Paris, where Maxim then worked with Igor Lazko, the musician received the prize of the prestigious festival.
Confession
After returning to Croatia, the performer recorded in 2001 his first album, which received the Croatian analogue of the Grammy, the Porin Prize in four nominations.
Tonki Hardika introduced fellow impresario Mel Bush. Cooperation began. At the suggestion of the manager, Mrvitsa relied on mixing styles and novelty of sound.
The disc "The Piano Player" was released in 2003. In Asian countries, it became gold, in the musician's homeland - twice platinum, enjoyed great success with listeners. The highlight of the collection was the author's interpretation of Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee".
Tours in South-East Asia were held in 2004. The pianist of the show performed with special effects, and the concert itself was broadcast on a video projector. The performer also looked unusual. The combination of classics and electronic sound gave the creativity of Mrvitsa new fans and an increase in the world rating.
New Achievements
In late summer 2007, the musician in China was presented with the CCTV Film Awards. In October, work began on the disc "Pure", in early summer 2008 the collection was presented through the website. The collection 2010 "Appassionata" was also highly appreciated.
To a large extent, Mrvitsa glorified his performance of works by Toncha Khulzic, a Croatian composer. Nostalgic feelings in the audience are caused by "Croatian Rhapsody".
There is little information about the musician's personal life. It is known that the pianist was married, has a child and a daughter.
Maxim continues to delight the audience with his creativity. In 2018 he presented the compilation "New Silk Road".
