Biography

The future showman was born in November 1970 on the ninth in the American city of New York. In 1999, Jericho, along with his promoters, launched one of the most spectacular events in RAW history. First, a timer was set, counting down to August 9, 1999. When time was up, Christopher reappeared in the ring, but under the pseudonym Y2J. In the same year, he openly declared his ambitions and claims to the international title. The two-match duel ended in a draw (Jericho won in one fight, his rival in the other). In the decisive fight, he won again and thereby won the coveted title.

Throughout the 2000s, Jericho performed under various brands in wrestling and also toured successfully with his heavy metal band. In 2010, at the annual Night of Champions tournament, he announced that he would stop participating in the show if he could not win the title.
