Childhood and youth
The famous Soviet poet was born on July 10, 1889 in a bourgeois family. Parents lived at that time in the town of Lgov, which is still located in the Kursk province. Nikolai Nikolaevich Aseev's father, a native of a seedy noble family, worked as an insurance agent. Mother, as was customary in those days, took care of the house. When the child was barely eight years old, the mother was gone. The boy was taken up by his grandfather, who was distinguished by his erudition and good memory. It was he who instilled in Nikolai a taste and love for literature.
From an early age, Nikolai observes how people live in the neighborhood, fields turn green, autumn leaves fly around and a blizzard howls outside the window. In 1909, having received his primary education in a real school, the aspiring poet went to Moscow. The father insists that his son study at a commercial institute. The young man does not reread to his parent, but in parallel with his studies he is engaged in creativity and spends all his free time with like-minded people. Meets Vladimir Mayakovsky and Boris Pasternak.
In the whirlwind of events
The biography of Nikolai Aseev as a mirror reflects the sequence of historical events. When the First World War began, the poet was drafted into the army. But the work on the word is not interrupted. Assey did not reach the front - he fell ill with tuberculosis. Recovered. And by that time the first revolution had broken out. It turned out to be difficult to navigate in the life torn apart by the social storm. Nikolai, together with his wife, decided to change their place of residence and went to the East. With adventures and anxieties we got to Vladivostok. Here the poet was actively involved in journalistic activities.
In 1922, the famous People's Commissar of Education Anatoly Vasilyevich Lunacharsky persistently invited him to return to Moscow. Literary life was already in full swing here. Aseev, together with old comrades, participates in the creation of the "Left Front of the Arts". In the wake of enthusiasm and freedom, Soviet poets create their masterpieces. Aseev's poem "The Blue Hussars" was included in the golden fund of Soviet poetry. The fate of the Decembrists became the basis for the work.
Private life
Nikolai Aseev's creative career was developing quite successfully. In the mid-30s, he wrote his best poem "Mayakovsky Begins". The author very accurately managed to convey the atmosphere and important details of the time when the revolution was ripening in society. When young poets and prose writers intuitively found their way and their place in literature. For this work, Nikolai Nikolaevich was awarded the Stalin Prize. It is interesting to note that Aseev translated well the poems of the leader of the Chinese communists, Mao Zedong.
The poet's personal life was standard. In his youth, he married Ksenia Sinyakova. As was customary in those distant times, love arose between young people. Husband and wife have lived all their lives under the same roof.
