The conflict between the leaders of the United States and Germany at the G7 summit has stirred up the world media. The leaders of the EU countries, led by Angela Merkel, were unhappy with Donald Trump's intention to impose duties on aluminum imports and tried to stop the beginning trade war. The answer of the President of the United States was original - he took out two sweets from his pocket and threw them on the table in front of Angela Merkel with the words: "Here you are, Angela! And don't say anymore that I am not giving you anything."

An unpleasant situation occurred on June 8 in the Canadian city of Quebec at the G7 summit. Donald Trump was unhappy with the pressure allegedly put on him by the leaders of the EU countries. According to the participants in the meeting, the US President sat for a long time in a tense posture, looked at his feet with concentration, and then got up and, in irritation, throwing sweets on the table in front of Angela Merkel, announced to the rest of the summit that he did not intend to sign the final agreement of the meeting. He also instructed all US representatives not to join this document.
Donald Trump explained his decision by the incorrect behavior of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. According to the US President, the Canadian leader behaved "softly and obediently" during private negotiations with the two states, but then announced to the EU leaders that he considered the new US duties on steel and aluminum imports "offensive" for the rest of the summit. Justin Trudeau at the G7 meeting also threatened Donald Trump with harsh retaliatory sanctions.
Angela Merkel admitted that the past meeting of the Big Seven disappointed her. She stated that Donald Trump's behavior was defiant and once again proved to the leaders of the EU countries that one cannot blindly trust the United States. At the same time, she announced that she intends to maintain a partnership with Washington, since temporary differences should not interfere with long-term work.
Another participant in the summit, French President Emmanuel Macron, said that during the meeting, the leaders of the G7 countries did everything possible to resolve all conflicts. But, to his regret, this was not done. In addition, he said that Donald Trump behaved provocatively at the summit and openly rude to him when discussing the situation with terrorism in the world, saying that "terrorists are all in Paris."

Donald Trump himself announced that he considers the past G7 summit successful for himself, since he managed to strengthen ties with many leaders of European countries. He also said that he and Angela Merkel have an excellent relationship and urged journalists not to stir up the scandal around the usual working moments of the meeting.

It says that all countries attending the summit are required to take decisive action to protect their democracies from foreign threats. Following the meeting, it was also recommended that Israel and Palestine begin negotiations, and Iran not take any measures against stabilizing the situation in the state.
