In this case, the person should be described in terms of the implementation of his parental responsibilities. Here we apply the same number of requirements as for all characteristics - it must be restrained, correct, adequately assess the family situation, rely on facts, not emotions, and be presented in the 3rd person of the present or past tense.

Instructions
Step 1
Write the heading part of the characteristic. Write the word "characteristic" in capital letters in the center of the line. On the next line, enter the full surname, name and patronymic of the person described in the genitive case. Or, indicate the relationship status and the child's details (last name, first name, school, grade). Center the entire header in the middle of the line.
Step 2
Write down the personal details of the parent - date of birth, place of residence, education received, place of work.
Step 3
The next point is to describe the marital status: the composition of the family, the number of children and their date of birth, the social status of the family.
Step 4
Indicate, based on the facts, to what extent the parent realizes his rights and responsibilities in relation to children, such as communication, upbringing, protecting and ensuring the interests of the child, creating conditions for the child for upbringing and development. Describe to what extent, in the process of exercising parenting, the parent follows a prohibition against harming the physical and mental health of children, their moral development, and the abuse or exploitation of children.
Step 5
Describe whether the parenting style is democratic, permissive, or authoritarian. Based on the observations of teachers, district police officers, neighbors, or the management's own observations, find out how often the parent spends time with the children, takes them to school (if appropriate), whether they pay attention to academic success, whether they attend parent-teacher meetings, whether they are worried about absent child.
Step 6
Based on the appearance of children, cleanliness, good breeding, interests, determine the attentiveness of parents in relation to children. Draw conclusions about the parenting potential of the family (parent) and family relationships from interviews with parents, family visits, and observations of the parent-child couple.
Step 7
In conclusion, note the moral and other personal qualities of the parents that influence the parenting process, facilitate or hinder successful parenting. If necessary, indicate the parent's occupation, mode of work and how they affect the exercise of parental rights and responsibilities.
Step 8
At the end of the characteristic, indicate the purpose of its compilation, i.e. the place to which it will be provided, using the wording "the characteristic is drawn up to be provided to …". Reassure her with the necessary signatures - leaders, social workers or others. It is also recommended to make the characteristic in duplicate.
