Roy Scheider is an American actor. He became popular thanks to his numerous roles in films, but the audience remembered him for his theatrical roles.
Biography
Roy Scheider was born on November 10, 1932 in an international family. His father was from Germany and his mother was from Ireland.
Roy grew up a weak and sickly child, in childhood he suffered from rheumatism, but this did not make him physically weak. In order to improve his health, Roy spent quite a lot of time and excelled in sports. He even thought about dedicating his life to sports.
Roy played baseball, but only on an amateur level, and later competed in the New Jersey Diamond Gloves boxing competition.

Scheider graduated from Columbia High School, located in Maplewood, where he was inducted into the school's hall of honor.
