Most often, a fire in a forest occurs through the fault of a person. The reason may be an abandoned cigarette butt, careless handling of fire, a fire left unattended and not extinguished when leaving the forest. To avoid a forest fire, you must follow the instructions for a safe stay in the forest.
It is necessary
Ax, bucket, shovel, plastic bag, water, earth, tree branches, thick cloth
Instructions
Step 1
Going to rest in the forest, do not make fires in peat bogs, in areas of damaged forest, in cutting areas not cleared of felling residues and harvested wood, under the crowns of trees. Near the warehouses of peat, timber, close to mature crops.
Step 2
Make a fire in a place that is cleaned to the mineral soil layer. Use a shovel to dig a small hole in which you will place the fuel. Tear off the grass around the fire pit within a 1.5 meter radius. Deepening can be done by removing the sod, while the fertile soil layer is not damaged. When leaving home, cover the fire with earth or fill it with water until decay completely disappears.
Step 3
When in the forest, do not leave materials soaked in gasoline or oil, as they can ignite spontaneously in hot weather. Glass objects can focus the sun's rays, which can cause a fire.
Step 4
To incinerate garbage, use an area cleared of felling residues, dead wood, combustible materials within a radius of 25-30 meters and bordered by mineralized strips at least 1.5 meters wide each. In a coniferous forest on dry soils, the stripes should be at least 2.5 meters.
Step 5
Do not refuel fuel tanks while the engine is running or near trees. Do not use machines with a broken engine power supply system, do not smoke near machines filled with fuel, do not use open flames.
Step 6
Once near the source of the fire, warn everyone in the vicinity of people. Fill the fire with water from the nearby river, fill it with earth. Use for extinguishing, wet clothes, thick cloth, branches of deciduous trees. Trample a small fire with your feet, preventing it from spreading to the trees.
Step 7
Report the location of the fire, as well as its possible causes, to the forestry or fire department.
