Moscow constantly insists on an objective investigation in El Hole under the auspices of the UN Mission. At the end of May, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced this in a telephone conversation with Kofi Annan.

This process is being dragged out also thanks to the intervention of other countries, which in fact do not have the right to influence the investigation. The El Hole tragedy has resulted in many casualties. According to reports, 116 people died in the Syrian village of El-Houla, 32 of them were children.
The Syrian authorities and the opposition, according to Sergei Lavrov, must abandon such situations in the future and from violence. The Foreign Minister expresses concern about Kofi Annan's plan to regulate the situation, as it may be thwarted.
Many countries did not wait for the official results of the investigation and blamed the Syrian authorities for the incident. In particular, Britain and France said civilians were killed by artillery owned by government forces. The foreign ministers of both countries demanded an end to the use of weapons in cities.
Military analysts note that such interference and the desire to blame, without waiting for the results of the investigation, only worsen the situation in a country that is choking on foreign intervention. It is also unambiguous that some countries will interpret the results of the check in their own way, remaining unchanged. The Syrian people themselves want to restore peace above the sky and on the streets of settlements.
