Science is cutting short human experiences of fast-paced life. A person living in worries about feeding himself and his offspring rarely looks up to the sky and thinks about the meaning of his existence. The world around them interests people in the part that provides them with the necessary resources. And only a few discerning minds are able to understand and explain the global mechanisms operating on the planet. Jacques Fresco is one of the brightest representatives of this small galaxy. Powerful intellect, observation and organizational skills allowed him to offer humanity several interesting projects.

Designing the future

There are a huge variety of proposals on the rational arrangement of the surrounding reality. Among the interesting, albeit somewhat naive, projects by Jacques Fresco appear. The now famous engineer and futurist was born on March 13, 1916 in New York. The child's parents moved to America, fleeing discrimination in the Ottoman Empire. Jacques's biography could have formed according to the standard stencil for a person from the poor. Three children were growing up in the family, and the father had to work hard to put the children on their feet.

The elder brother and grandfather had a great influence on the development and outlook of Jacques. In conversations with them, he learned about Darwin's theory of evolution and became an atheist for the rest of his life. While studying at a comprehensive school, Fresco received permission to visit freely with a mandatory weekly report on the books he had read. When the Great Depression erupted in the United States, studies had to be interrupted. The young man received further education from communicating with people and observing the course of events around him. Hitchhiking around the country, Jacques observed how people live and what they value in everyday life.

As a teenager, Jacques became interested in the design features of the aircraft, which he considered at a local airfield. Today we can say that at this time Fresco's design career began. He had some ideas that were transformed into specific technical solutions. In a few years, Jacques will register his inventions and will receive the due annuity throughout his life. The famous engineer was seriously engaged in the formation of ideas for a resource-saving economy. In particular, he sharply criticized the huge expenditure on armaments.

Analyzing the processes taking place in industrial society, Fresco spent almost a year among the natives on the island of Tuamotu. In certain situations, natives and civilized people behave the same way. The information collected prompted the futurologist to think about creating low-cost housing. A prototype of such a house was built using aluminum structures. However, the idea did not receive support from the bourgeois state, geared towards making a profit.

Venus Project

Jacques Fresco is deeply convinced that love should rule the world, not greed. It was this postulate that he laid in the basis of his original project on the world order, which he called "Venus". Work in this direction has been carried out for many years. In 1975, the scientist collected all the sketches and developments into a single document and presented it to the world community. The responses were positive, but also sharply critical.

In his personal life, Jacques Fresco was not so original. He entered into legal marriage twice. The second wife bore him a son and a daughter. The husband thanked his wife for this, but the family broke up in 1957. From that moment on, Jacques remained unmarried.
