Until the second half of the 17th century, manual labor prevailed. Although people from antiquity have used various mechanisms, driven either by water or by wind, they used them mainly for highly specialized purposes (for example, mills). After the invention of the steam boiler, extensive mechanization of production began.

Instructions

Step 1

A real industrial and household "revolution" happened after people started using electrical energy. Automation has taken place, that is, most of the human resources have been replaced by various devices.

Step 2

The automation of production processes led, first of all, to an increase in labor productivity and a decrease in production costs. This is due to the widespread introduction of automated planning, design and management systems for any technological processes, as well as the use of automatic machine tools with programmed control instead of "manpower". The decrease in cost, in turn, led to a decrease in selling prices for a wide variety of products. If still relatively recently, many types of household appliances were very expensive and were available only to well-off people, now they can be found in almost every family.

Step 3

Automation allows you to improve the quality of products, completely or partially free a person from direct participation in industries that are dangerous to his health. Where, according to the requirements of the technological regulations, special accuracy and sterile purity are required (for example, in some work related to the space industry, the release of high-purity reagents, etc.), they try to introduce full automation, without any human intervention.

Step 4

The automatic mode is increasingly covering the advertising and tourism business, as well as trade. More recently, in order to buy a ticket to the theater, train or plane, it was necessary to appear at the ticket office and stand in line. Now, there are many booking and ticket sites operating around the clock. The same can be said about paying for travel vouchers, various utilities, duties, goods in online stores. Automation allows you to do this without leaving your home, having only access to the Internet.

Step 5

This is not a complete list of those grandiose changes that the scientific and technological revolution has brought into our lives, one of the main features of which is automation. And even a person with a rich imagination can hardly predict what other "surprises" automation will present us in the coming years, let alone decades. Perhaps in the future, a person will not have to go to work, do household chores, since robots will do everything for him. But these are only assumptions.
