Paul Franker, full name Paul Louis Franker, was born on June 29, 1905 in Paris, France. His parents had nothing to do with art. Mother was a laundress, the actor did not know his father. Having received an incomplete secondary education at school, the future actor decided to seek his happiness in work. In his youth he tried himself as an excavator driver, a scooter driver, a bookseller and a tanner. Paul Franker, who grew up in Paris on the avant-garde films of Alberto Cavalcanti, based on clear and understandable scenarios about the life of everyday Paris, its architectural and social contrasts, naturally dreams of acting in films. Since the twenties of the last century, Paul acted as an actor in the theatrical troupe "Group of October", and then in the cabaret "Agnis Capri" with funny numbers.
The beginning of the 20th century was the heyday of French cinema, which was one of the most respected in the world, and was second only to Hollywood in popularity. The films were distinguished by a variety of technical solutions, the introduction of standard perforations on the film. The movie spectacle aroused great interest among the public. The length of the feature film was twenty minutes, the ticket price was one franc. During these years, Paul Franker met the famous actors Jacques Prevert and Maurice Bacquet.

At the age of 42, Paul Franker registered his only marriage with Henriette Oberkirch. She outlived the actor by fourteen years. Son Jean-Paul-Franker later became an actor. Paul Franker died of coronary heart disease on October 27, 1704 in Kitri-le-Menet, France. Buried in Chitri-les-Mines.
