At the 65th Cannes Film Festival, the honorary jury will have to choose among twenty-two tapes of the main competition. The winners will be announced during the closing ceremony of the festival on May 27. There are other awards: "Jury Prize", "Grand Prix", "Golden Camera", awards for the best screenwriter, director, actor and actress.

The competition program of the 65th Cannes Film Festival, as always, will include films by directors from different countries of the world: France, USA, Canada, Italy, Germany, Belgium, South Korea, Denmark, Great Britain, etc. Russia will be represented by the co-production film "In the Fog", directed by Sergei Loznitsa (Russia, Latvia, Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands), 2012, 127 minutes.
