Professional sports require appropriate physical and psychological qualities from a person. People with frail health do not become champions. Igor Gamula played football skillfully and still works as a coach.
Starting conditions
Football is rightfully considered the most popular game among people of all ages and in all civilized countries. The Soviet Union also paid great attention to supporting football teams. Talented boys were trained to become masters from school. Igor Vasilievich Gamula was born on February 17, 1960 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents lived in the city of Alchevsk, Luhansk region. My father worked in the mine. Mother was engaged in housekeeping.
Igor grew up as an energetic and quick-witted child. From an early age, he stood out among his peers with a strong physique and a good reaction. Already in preschool age, he, together with his friends, spent whole days "driving" the ball in the nearest vacant lot. In the mid-60s, the national football team of the country showed quite decent results. Boys, young and old, knew the names of the leading players. And they not only knew, but also tried to imitate them.
Cup Winner
As a schoolboy, in high school, Gamula studied in the football section of a children's and youth school. Here the players were trained for the team of masters "Zarya" from Lugansk. Igor demonstrated a high technical level of the game. I saw the field well, and knew how to organize attacks on the opponent's goal. In 1978, the boy, who received his secondary education, was enrolled in the backup composition of the Luhansk team. The newcomer was put on the position of the central midfielder.
Two years later, Igor was invited to the team of the Rostov SKA. This club is famous for winning the USSR Cup in the 1981 season. The teams from Donbass have never achieved such a result again. According to the apt definition of one of the sports commentators, Gamula on the field did not just play, but was engaged in creativity. For his quarrelsome nature, he was transferred from one team to another several times. In the early nineties he played two seasons in Kherson "Kristall" and ended his sports career.
Coaching concerns
Igor Vasilyevich wanted to go into business, but it was impossible to let go of a specialist with extensive experience. After a short break, he was invited to coach the Chernomorets team from Novorossiysk. For three seasons, the tasks assigned to the coach were completed.
In the fall of 2014, an experienced specialist was approved as the head coach of the youth team of the Rostov team. Unlike sports, Igor Gamula's personal life did not work out. He tried several times to start a family. In one of the attempts, a daughter was born to a husband and wife. Today Igor Vasilyevich, as far as possible, communicates with his grandson and granddaughter. He does not quit his coaching work.
