Family, early years
Valentin Georgievich was born on June 10, 1941. His hometown is Moscow. Valentin's father was engaged in the creation of scripts for documentaries, his mother was an employee of the film distribution. The Smirnitskys lived in a communal apartment, the boy was looked after by his grandparents.
For a lot of time, Valentin walked on the street, he was expelled from school for fights. He had to go to night school. Smirnitsky decided to become an actor by participating in one of the school performances. In 1965 he graduated from the Shchukin school. During that period, his father fell seriously ill, because of this Valentine could not be at home.
Creative career
In the 4th year, Valentin starred in the movie "Two" together with Fedorova Victoria. The picture won a prize at a film festival in the capital. After college, Valentin received invitations from 4 theaters. He accepted the offer from Lenkom, soon becoming in demand.

The actor has 4 marriages, his first wife was Pashkova Lyudmila. They studied together at the Shchukin School. The marriage was short-lived.
For the second time, Valentin Georgievich married Irina Kovalenko, she is a translator. She has a daughter, Daria, from a previous marriage. Then the couple had a boy, Ivan. When he was 6 years old, the marriage broke up.
After the divorce, Irina forbade Valentin to communicate with her son. In 2000, Ivan died of a drug overdose, despite the efforts of the actor, who wanted to rid him of his addiction. Ivan was the only son of Smirnitsky.
Then Elena Shaporina became the wife of the actor, she is an economist. She has a granddaughter Martha, who was abandoned by the child's father. Valentine began to take care of her, becoming a real father to her.
For the 4th time Smirnitsky married Ryabtseva Lydia. From a marriage contracted earlier, she left two daughters, with them Vladimir Georgievich had an excellent relationship.
