As in any metropolis, St. Petersburg has a great variety of streets, embankments, lanes, driveways, avenues, boulevards, etc. If you are lost in the Northern capital or do not know how to find this or that address, you can use satellite navigation or a regular city map.
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to get to a certain address by private car, a GPS navigator will become an indispensable assistant. In large metropolitan areas, this device makes it much easier for most motorists to find the necessary routes. By entering the address you are looking for, you will receive detailed information on how to get to the specified point from where you are now. By the way, pedestrians can also use the navigator, since this function is available in many mobile phones.
Step 2
Cellular does not support this function? If you have a netbook with you, go to the nearest café with Wi-Fi access. In any search engine, enter a query with the name of the city and street (marked "on the map"). On some of the maps found, a feature will be available that allows you to see street panoramas, which makes the search much easier.
Step 3
If you do not have a netbook with you, buy a tourist card of St. Petersburg and use it to determine your own location and the desired address. To do this, find the desired street in a special column (list of streets in alphabetical order). Next to its name there will be a combination of two symbols, for example, M4. Find a letter and a number horizontally and vertically - this street will be located at their intersection on the map.
Step 4
Ask for directions from passers-by if money is not at hand. The likelihood of success of the method called "Language will bring to Kiev" directly depends on how far you are from the desired street. Of course, it makes no sense to pester passers-by with a question, say: "How to get to Glass Street?" not even knowing the nearest metro station. So before you go looking, collect the necessary information that would serve as a good reference point.
