In the middle of the last century, large oil reserves were discovered in the Emirates. Rather unsightly desert lands with a population of about 100 thousand people united into one state and began to develop rapidly.
Instructions
Step 1
The United Arab Emirates is located on the Arabian Peninsula and is washed by the Persian Gulf in the north of the country and the Indian Ocean Gulf of Oman in the east. The neighboring states of the Emirates are Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Step 2
The history of life on the territory of the Persian Gulf is about 7 thousand years old. Local residents have long been engaged in hunting, agriculture and trade, and their living conditions looked very simple. The sparse vegetation and the exhaustingly hot desert climate taught the Arabians to be calm about the harsh conditions of life. Despite the fact that the desert lands of the emirates were not of great interest to the conquerors, from time to time in the history of their existence, the inhabitants of the peninsula fell under the yoke of Oman and the Arab Caliphate, and later became a colony of Great Britain.
Step 3
In the early 1960s, oil was found in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, and its production and export began. Five years later, the heads of the seven principalities considered large-scale economic projects for the development of the territory, and after another three years they discussed the prospect of creating a federal monarchical state. The main initiator of the unification was the Sheikh of Abu Dhabi - Zayed Al Nahyan, who came to power as a result of a coup.
Step 4
In the early 1970s, Great Britain abandoned its claims to the territory of the emirates. On December 1, 1971, the rulers of six principalities: Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, Fujairah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain signed a decision to create a new country - the United Arab Emirates, and a year later another emirate of Ras Al Khaimah became part of them. The population of the state was at that time about 90 thousand people, and the Emir of Abu Dhabi - Zayed Al Nahyan was elected president. As a result, he stayed in power for 35 years.
Step 5
At the moment, the United Arab Emirates is one of the economically developed countries. This country has achieved stability and global political influence in just 44 years. Such achievements are due to the competent policy of the state, for which the Arabs are grateful to their first president and venerate him as a saint.
Step 6
The Emirates have become an investment attractive state for many countries of the world, while the number of indigenous Arabs in the UAE is about 20%. The rest of the country's inhabitants are visiting Indians, Arabs and Europeans. Since the 1990s, the Emirates has become one of the most popular travel destinations for holidaymakers from all over the world. Holidays in the UAE are attractive for luxury hotels and impeccable service, sandy beaches and warm sea water. In addition to everything, tourists may be interested in shopping in large shopping centers and a variety of entertainment programs such as diving with marine life and camel racing.
