Every novice writer asks himself the question - "Where to start?" Sooner or later, you have to think about how to systematize the workflow, make it more meaningful, because one can hardly advance much on inspiration alone, if the author's goal is not just to write another essay that can be put into his creative cache, but to create a work worthy to see the light. From this moment, the creative path of any writer begins.

Actually - everything is simple. As in any business, if you work honestly and hard, then soon you begin to irreversibly change. The very consciousness of a working person becomes different, which allows us to consider the works created earlier in a new way. The same naturally happens with the mind of the writer. Having written several stories, you begin to notice that they lack meaningfulness, coherence, or colorfulness, or maybe something else. At first, all this appears to the inexperienced author as a doubt, a premonition. This is where the real work begins. Now, still only accepting the imperfection of his own works, the author is preparing to learn the world of literature as it is, with its countless rules and laws, which sometimes must be strictly observed, and sometimes must be violated, despite the contempt or misunderstanding of older comrades and those around him. And then the author is ready to move, ready to realize that others can only show him the direction, but the path will have to be traversed on his own. And the first clue is the idea that generates the plot.

The plot can be defined in different ways, which is used by numerous teachers ranting about writing skills. Even here it is necessary to show independence and determine the meaning of this term for oneself as it is more convenient for the author himself. However, for simplicity, at first you can imagine an idea, a message - no matter how you call it - as a connecting beginning and the final part of the work. There is nothing to fuss about, going into long, lengthy formulations designed to expand the understanding of this aspect of literary creation in the minds of those who are already ready to come to this decision themselves. It is also necessary to explain to the beginner that the beginning and end of the essay, it does not matter whether it grows into a whole book, or is limited to a small story, should be linked by an idea, united by meaning. From the very first case described in the work, a chain of related events, united by the author's intent, should begin, which ultimately reveal the idea, intent, what the writer is trying to convey to the reader. And any work is an author's monologue, which does not make sense if it does not have a solid foundation, which is the idea.

Let's simplify. After all, now the author has to ask many questions. Any literary work is an attempt by the author to convey his thought through a colorful metaphor. His thought, the idea conceived by the author, cannot be expressed directly. These are the realities of artistic craft. The metaphor, in this case, is the plot. With the help of the events taking place in the book, the author makes the reader think about something, prompts him to think, points in which direction to look, so that the reader independently thinks about what the events taking place in the book only hint at. It is easy to guess, knowing this, that one of the most important components of the work is precisely the plot, which connects together all the events, or rather even, which is their connection. After all, there is no point in trying to talk about what makes no sense, no matter how it sounds. It is not interesting to listen to a story in which there is no connection, logic, something that allows you to better understand the world around you. And it's easy to check. It is enough to spend the day writing down everything that happens, trying not for a moment to tear the pen off the paper. Everything that will be written down in the notebook by the end of the day is just random events that are not of interest. And to make the example even clearer, it is enough to take a dictionary and try to read only the words before the explanations, not paying attention to the definitions. The whole point of the dictionary is to explain their meanings, but if you protect yourself from this, it turns into an empty, boring work devoid of any meaning. The same is with any work that lacks an idea, plot, message. Simple and clear, this is the first thing any author should pay attention to.

So how do you come up with a book before you even start writing it? After all, this is what we are talking about. It is necessary to know from the very beginning where the story will begin and how the story will end before its first events appear on the pages of a new work. Much has already been said about this, but not enough, since there is still no manual unanimously accepted by all authors that would help novice writers. And obviously, it's not easy to make up a story that will capture the minds of readers around the world. Even a good idea can already be sold, which speaks of the complexity of this enterprise. But there is a way out. And it's pretty simple. The entire work is a metaphor for the only thought that the author is trying to express. Therefore, in order to come up with a good plot, you first need to decide on the thought that will be laid in its foundation. And here it is already difficult to give specific advice. In the end, everyone decides for himself what he wants to convey in his book. But you can use examples that will make this statement clearer. So, in order to convey the idea that love can even save the world, it is necessary to introduce two characters who, thanks to this feeling, whatever it really is, in our fictional universe will cope with seemingly insurmountable circumstances. Of course, it still looks vague, but the outlines of the future work are already beginning to appear, as soon as they were only slightly outlined. Next, it is already necessary to think about how exactly this will fit into the plot, what the obstacles will be, what the heroes will have to face on their way. And each author will come up with his own story hidden in this idea. And this is all the splendor of literature, but also all its complexity, and all its diversity. Of course, you can take another idea as well. For example, let's try to create a story of a different type, and for this we will form a new thought. Let's say the author decides to explain to the reader that inaction is dangerous. Then a different type of character is needed, sluggish, acting unwillingly, even under duress. He must face such problems, in the development of which his unwillingness to take an active part will lead to a worsening of the situation, and, ultimately, may even to his death or the death of a person dear to him. In a word, he will try to protect himself from problems, which is why he will suffer in one way or another. Now you can easily guess that the idea, the plot that it generates, are the most important aspects of any work of art. This is the foundation, the foundation on which history rests, and from which it is created. Therefore, it is necessary to pay great attention to this and not neglect the opportunity to think about the filling of the future literary creation, even before starting to create it.

One more curious detail should be paid attention to. In an effort to simplify their work, many novice authors are faced with templates that supposedly should help at the initial stage of their creative path. Actually, their whole essence boils down to the fact that the author is offered a list of characters, places and problems, which, if combined in a random way, give the author an idea, for the embodiment of some idea that is not implied in this way of finding the plot. And this is the main problem. It is unlikely that the author will be able to come up with an idea for a ready-made plot, while a plot for a ready-made idea always appears, at first glance, by itself. That is why in no case should one use such schemes, which to a heap disaccustom a novice writer to think about the main component of future works, about the message, which is only what an immortal work is capable of emerging for. It should be remembered that on the path of becoming an author there are many tricks and tricks, the use of which, with rare exceptions, is not just senseless, but even harmful. This is the road to nowhere. Like cheats in games, like fraudulent tricks, such methods only at first glance make it easier to work on a book, while in reality they only lead to complications, which later sometimes cannot be dealt with.

So, everything is ridiculously simple. And this is not a trick, not a deception. Because in the future, more and more problems and obstacles appear on the path of the writer. And you need to deal with everyone in order to start writing decent works. But, as in any business, only one thing comes to the rescue here - the desire to act, the willingness to work. Indeed, in life, as in our example with a non-initiative hero, inaction is fraught with consequences. And it’s impossible to learn how to write, if only to look for excuses, if you try to outwit everyone and find an easy way. It's simple, you have to keep this in mind, but at first it always seems difficult. Once upon a time, no one knew how to count, write, speak, and it was hard to learn this. You may not remember how difficult it is to learn new things, but then it is enough to try to learn a new language from scratch. It will quickly become clear that nothing will work the first time, it will be hard. But some time later, having started to speak with ease in an unfamiliar language or dialect, you begin to think that it has always been like this, as if you were born with this skill. But it is better not to forget this, it is better to remember that everything was once difficult, and that only perseverance will help to cope with all obstacles. Likewise, a writer needs to work, he needs to write, and over time, it will begin to seem to him that he always did it easily and naturally, and the book will be born in his mind long before he once again begins to embody it.
