early years
Yakubovich's parents met during the war, in July 1945 the couple had a son, Leonid. Parents raised him, teaching him to be independent. At school, Lenya did not have any special problems, but in the 8th grade Yakubovich was expelled for the following reason. In the summer, he and a friend went to the taiga with an expedition of scientists. They worked as "live baits" on which they tested the effectiveness of mosquito repellents. The expedition lasted almost until winter; upon returning home, Leonid learned that he had been expelled for a three-month absence.
Yakubovich had to go to night school, he also got a job at the plant as an electrician. After graduation, Leonid decided to become an artist, he applied immediately to 3 universities and went through a competition in all. However, his father talked to him and asked him to get a more "fit for life" specialty. Leonid began his studies at the Civil Engineering Institute, where he became a member of the KVN team.
Career
In 1971, Yakubovich completed his studies with an engineering degree and began to work at the plant. Leonid was fond of writing humorous scripts. In 1980, Leonid got into the committee of playwrights, created over 300 works written for pop performers. Monologues were performed by Vinokur, Petrosyan and others. Yakubovich also wrote several plays ("Tutti", "Parade of parodists", etc.). In 1980 he played a role in one of the theatrical productions.
Yakubovich became popular when he began to host the famous "Field of Miracles" show. This happened in 1991. TV viewers loved the game very much. Replicas, actions of the host - all this is pure improvisation. All gifts brought to Yakubovich are in the Museum.

Personal life
The first wife of Yakubovich is Galina Antonova, the soloist of the Gorozhanki group. They met at a concert. A boy Artyom appeared in the marriage. He studied at the same university as Yakubovich, studied at the Academy of Foreign Trade, then began working on TV.
In 1995, the marriage with Galina broke up, Yakubovich began to meet with Marina Vido. She worked with Leonid Arkadyevich in the VID company. The couple got married, in 1998 they had a daughter, Varvara. At the age of 50, Yakubovich became interested in sports aircraft, mastered the profession of a pilot. He entered the Russian national team, participated in the first Olympic aerospace games held in Turkey.
