One of these professionals is the actor Vladimir Antonik. Fans of films with the participation of Antonio Banderas, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Richard Gere can easily recognize his voice, because it was he who voiced their characters.

From a young age, the actor has been acting in films, he has dozens of roles in films. His total filmography, together with the voice acting, totals almost a thousand paintings - this is an unprecedented figure! Also, his voice can be heard in audiobooks, cartoons, computer games and documentaries.

His most recent dubbing work is the Master in the TV series Dark Beginnings (2019) and Stregobor in the TV series The Witcher (2019-…).

Biography

Vladimir Vladimirovich Antonik was born in 1953 in Belarus, in the city of Slonim. At that time, the boys dreamed of professions associated with heroic romance: geologists, sailors, cosmonauts, pilots. Volodya dreamed of participating in a taiga exploration expedition, so he decided to get an education as a geologist.

He applied to the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute, but could not enter it. Then the guy decided to go to Moscow - there were more opportunities there. And it had to happen that a potential geologist caught the eye of an ad for VGIK! And even more surprising was the fact that he entered the university, having passed a tough selection.

In 1973, with a diploma from VGIK, he went home and began working at the Belarusfilm film studio.

Film career

Antonik began to act as a student: his first experience on the set took place in 1971 in the film "Black Crackers", in a cameo role. Another film where the young actor played in the episode is the film "Because I Love" (1974).

A year later, the main role came to Vladimir - he played Misha Polyakov in the mini-series "The Last Summer of Childhood". This hero became an example for Soviet boys. The brave guy decided to investigate the murder that happened in his yard himself. Together with a friend, they gradually unravel the threads leading to the real criminals. The film turned out to be interesting and exciting also because it was filmed based on the story of the talented writer Anatoly Rybakov.

After this film, there was a break in his career - Antonik was called up for military service. This is also a kind of school that provides a large store of knowledge, experience and gives time for reflection. In the army, Vladimir decided to move to Moscow.

He went to work at the Gorky Film Studio and began to actively act in a variety of roles.

The best films in his filmography are considered the pictures "The Time of Desires" (1984), "Quarantine" (1983), "Primordial Russia" (1985), "I Can't Say Goodbye" (1982), "Magic Portrait (1997). Best TV series: "The Last Summer of Childhood" (1975), "Young Guard" (2015-…), “The Brothers Karamazov” (2008-…).

Over the years, Vladimir left the role of a young hero and began to offer him roles in historical films, where he had to play charismatic characters. One of these films is a film based on the Romanian and Moldovan epic called "The Legend of Fat-Frumos", where the actor had the main role. This adventure tape tells the story of a boy who grew up very quickly and turned into a real hero. His parents named him Fat-Frumos, but they did not suspect what spiritual and physical strength is contained in their son. Physical strength manifested itself very soon, and spiritual strength was expressed in the fact that if someone got into trouble, the hero could not help but hasten to help. Because of this, he got into various dangerous situations, but always came out of them as a winner.

In the historical tape “Nikolay Podvoisky. Pages of Life”(1987) Antonik also played the main role - the brave revolutionary and fighter for justice Podvoisky, who took an active part in the events of the 1917 revolution. Born into a family of a priest, the boy went to study at the seminary, but the ideas of the revolution captured him, and he began to study as a lawyer to defend the rights of the poor before the ruthless orders of the state. And later, when active agitation and strikes were needed, he showed tremendous organizational talent and roused people to fight the autocracy.

Antonik created the image of a courageous man, ready for self-sacrifice for the common good. After this film, he became a real celebrity, and other directors began to invite him to their projects. He continued to act, but the understudy profession attracted him more and more.

Antonik began to engage in voice acting back in the seventies, and gradually this work carried him away. Now, most of his working time, he dubs modern films, as well as foreign classics, if any comes across in proposals.

For example, he voiced Rhett Butler in Gone With the Wind (1939), played by the legendary Clark Gable. His voice is spoken by James Bond from Seann Connery and Darth Vader in Star Wars. It happens that Andronicus has to voice several characters at once in one film, and this is a real test.

After all, it is not so easy to voice this or that character - you need to feel it, pass it through yourself, and only then your voice will harmoniously merge with the image that the actor embodied.

Personal life

Vladimir Antonik is married, but he prefers not to talk about his family. He has a son, Eugene and a daughter, Anna - they are already adults, they live separately from their parents.
