Poet is a word that sounds beautiful and proud. Often in adolescence, young men and women try themselves in this area - feelings are torn out, you want to speak out, throw out a storm of emotions. A poem is the best form to express your state of mind. However, many underestimate themselves, believing that they will not be able to write, they have no sense of rhythm, and so on. In fact, the main thing for a poet is to be able to feel. And the words will be found.
A poet lives in every person. And the main thing that needs to be done is to open it in yourself. Do not be afraid to write poetry - rhyme is lame, banal phrases, seemingly worn out themes. This is not so important. The important thing is to try.
Many critics say that it is necessary to be equal to the famous, great poets - Pushkin, Byron, Goethe … and others, and others. But is it really that important? Why copy someone's style, someone's thoughts? And if we start to look up to famous people, we will inevitably begin to copy them.
Develop your own unique style of writing poems: your rhythm, your size. Only by trying different options, you can understand what really suits you. It's the same with themes: don't be afraid to write on what is believed to be banal topics. There are no trivial topics. Love, life, death, happiness are eternal themes. They are clear to everyone and everyone. They wrote, write about love and will continue to write about it. And if the closest topic for you today is love, write about love. Express your feelings exactly the way you would like it to.
Don't be afraid of criticism. Even if someone does not like the poem you have written, this is only his opinion. Write for yourself first. Enjoy the process and the result. If one fails, the other can attract hundreds of thousands.
So, to sum up:
- Write for yourself, express your feelings and thoughts;
- Write on any topic;
- Create your own unique style, experiment;
- Use criticism for your own purposes, it should not suppress your creativity;
- Have fun with the creation process itself.
A poet lives in each of us. Awaken it in yourself.
