The national theater and film actress - People's Artist of Russia Lia Medzhidovna Akhedzhakova - is well known to millions of fans throughout the post-Soviet space for her very bright and characteristic roles. During her creative career, the popular actress was awarded a number of awards: the Order of Honor and the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, twice the Teatral magazine awards (2008 and 2013), the Tsarskoye Selo Art Prize, the Vasilyev Brothers State Prize and twice the prize " Nika "Best Supporting Actor" nomination.
Behind the shoulders of the creative life of Liya Akhedzhakova, there are currently about fifty theatrical projects and more than seventy film works. And to a wide audience, she is better known for her roles in the legendary domestic film projects "Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!", "Office Romance", "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears", "Old Nags".
Biography and career of Leah Medzhidovna Akhedzhakova
On July 9, 1938, in Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine), the future theater and cinema star was born into a theatrical family (mother is an actress, and father is a director at the Adyghe Drama Theater). From the very childhood, the situation in the family was conducive to a creative career, but the stepfather was categorically against the theatrical fate for his child. Therefore, after receiving a certificate of secondary education, she, under the pressure of her family, entered the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold.
But after studying at this university for a year and a half, Leah realized that such a profession was not for her and passed the exams at GITIS, which she graduated in 1962. Due to her anthropometry (height 153 cm and weight - no more than 52 kg) Akhedzhakova began her theatrical career in the Theater for Young Spectators as a drag queen. Here she appeared on the stage for more than ten years, having played in a dozen performances. And from 1977 to the present day, the Sovremennik Theater has become her creative home.
On the stage of Sovremennik, Lia Medzhidovna goes out to act today. In her theatrical portfolio, I would especially like to note both the classical repertoire ("Little Devil" and "Windsor Ridiculous"), and modern entreprise projects ("Persian Lilac" and "My Grandson Benjamin").
Liya Akhedzhakova made her cinematic debut in the role of travesty, when she played the roles of boys in screened children's fairy tales. Then came more serious films in the films "Twenty Days Without War", "At the Black Sea itself" and "In secret to the whole world …".
And the real fame came to the actress after the release in 1977 of the sensational picture "Office Romance". From that time on, Leah began to be recognized on the street and asked for an autograph. She very harmoniously earned the fame of the best supporting actress in the country, which entrenched her throughout her professional career. It was the bright and charismatic performance that did not allow the directors to give her important roles, because then the work of the entire cast would be in jeopardy.
Currently, I would like to highlight the following film projects from the entire filmography of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation: "Ivan da Marya" (1974), "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath" (1975), "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears" (1979), "Garage" (1979), “Say a word about the poor hussar” (1980), “Sofya Petrovna” (1989), “Promised Heaven” (1991), “Moscow Vacation” (1995), “Old Nags” (2000), “Love-Carrot 3 "(2010)," Meek "(2017)," Summer "(2018).
In addition to colossal achievements in the field of domestic culture and art, Lia Medzhidovna Akhedzhakova is well known to the general public for her irreconcilable political position, critically directed against the President of the Russian Federation, in relation to Ukraine. And her very emotional nature of expressing her thoughts always does not leave indifferent either her like-minded people or ideological opponents.
Personal life of the actress
Behind the shoulders of the family life of Liya Akhedzhakova today there are three marriages and a complete absence of children.
The first spouse of the actress was a colleague in the creative department Valery Nosik. The reason for their termination of relations is not known for certain. For the second time, Lia Akhedzhakova went to the registry office with her chosen one Boris Kocheyshvili (artist and poet). Disorder in the family occurred after the creative realization of the spouse.
In 2001, the capital's photographer Vladimir Persiyaninov became the husband of a popular Russian actress. It was this family union that became truly strong and happy.
