Is there any mention of love for the Motherland in the Bible?

Holy Scripture (Bible) tells a person about the need for reverent attitude towards their homeland. Although for a Christian, Fatherland can be called not earthly, but Heavenly Fatherland or the coming Fatherland, understood as paradise (the state of people in communion with God in eternal life after death). However, a Christian should treat his earthly Fatherland with respect.

The Holy Scripture of the New Testament speaks of the Fatherland as a gift that was given by God: "For this I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every fatherland in heaven and on earth is named" (Eph. 3: 14-15) … To the extent of this, one can speak of a reverent attitude towards what the Lord has given. We can recall another passage from the epistle of the Apostle Paul to Timothy: “If someone does not care about his own people, and especially about his family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (1 Tim. 5: 8). By “own” one can understand not only one's relatives (hereinafter, the family members are mentioned separately), but also fellow countrymen. This quote can be attributed to indirect evidence of the duty of love for the Fatherland.

In the Old Testament, there are whole prayer works describing the grief of the human soul over the loss of the native Fatherland. Psalm 136 tells about the experiences of people who have lost their homeland and found themselves in a foreign land.

Thus, the Bible contains passages that tell about the responsibility to love your homeland.
