Gela Guralia is a Georgian singer with an incredibly beautiful and rare voice for a man. He began his creative development in early childhood, gradually moving towards success not only in Georgia, but also in Russia.
Biography
Guralia Gela Arvelodievich was born on December 22, 1980 in the small port city of Poti, which is located in Georgia. He became the second child in the family. Gela's father lived and worked in Nizhny Novgorod, so the boy often visited this city as a child. Her mother worked in the field of medicine, but she tried to devote all her free time to two growing children.
Gela began to show his creative nature from a very early age. He had an incredible voice for a boy, which he did not lose over time. He was drawn to music, especially the sounds of the piano fascinated him. As a result, it was this instrument that he chose for mastering.
Gela Guralia's vocals led him initially to the church choir. Such closeness to religion from an early age affected Gela's worldview. Now he is a deeply religious person.
The boy did not limit himself to singing in the church choir. At every opportunity, he took part in city holidays, signed up for local vocal competitions, where he often won. In early childhood, Gela began to try to write his own songs. Having become a little older, Guralia joined two local musical groups - "White Chaika" and "Fazisi".
In childhood and adolescence, Gela studied at an art school, where he learned the basics of acting, mastered musical instruments, and honed his vocals. Being a very capable and quick-witted child, Guralia successfully studied in a regular school. He received his basic education at the gymnasium, where he became interested in chemistry. This enthusiasm led Gela to the Chemistry and Biology School. Later he entered the university in Tbilisi, choosing for himself the Faculty of Chemistry. However, the craving for art overpowered, because Gela Guralia did not finish his studies at the university, having taken the documents. He later said that he regretted a little about such an act.
Development of the artist's musical career
In 2003 Gela Guralia, together with several musicians well known to him, left Georgia, going to conquer Moscow. At this time, he was already quite popular in his native country, where he even managed to release the first disc. However, it did not work out quickly in the Russian capital.
Until 2008, Gela Guralia was forced to perform in restaurants and at small private events. This allowed him to gain additional stage experience, make some useful contacts. But such a life was not at all what the young performer with an incredible angelic voice dreamed of.
In 2012, the first release of the vocal project "The Voice" was released. Gela immediately became interested in this competition. When it became clear that the ratings of the project were really very high, he applied to participate in the second season. The application was accepted. Gela successfully passed all the stages of selection, getting on the results of the team of Dima Bilan. It was “The Voice” that became the springboard for Gela, with the help of which he was able to break into the Russian stage, declare himself as an unusual and bright performer and wake up famous at one point.
In 2013, Guralia took part in the "Phonograph-Sympho-Jazz" concert that took place on the Kremlin stage.
Having worked out the tour together with the rest of the participants of the "Voice" project, Gela Guralia decided to come to grips with his solo work.
In 2014, the artist signed a contract with the Bravo Records music studio. In the same period, his disc was released, on which compositions were collected in different languages (Russian, English, Georgian). The released album had to be supported by live performances, so Gela went on tour in the same 2014. First, he gave a concert in Moscow, then in St. Petersburg, and then went on a tour in other Russian cities. His performances were sold out. In addition, Gela Guralia shot clips in support of the released songs.
2014 was marked for the artist by the victory in the "Golden Wave" competition.
In 2016, he received the Musical Contribution Award.
In 2018, the already held artist gave a second performance in Moscow.
Personal life and current events
Despite the stage of strong popularity, at the moment Gela Guralia is not particularly noticeable on the music scene. However, the artist continues to create, appears in television projects, gives concerts in some Russian cities.
Very little is known about how the artist lives off stage. Gela is a secretive person, he adheres to the idea that personal things should not be publicly discussed. Therefore, nothing is known about the private life of the singer and musician. Gela said that in the past he had a relationship with a girl, which ended in a painful breakup.
