American actor and martial artist Noah Ringer became famous for his first film role. He played Aang, the protagonist of the movie "The Lord of the Elements". The artist also took part in the films Cowboys vs. Aliens, The Chronicles of Pepper and Conan.
Noah's child Andrew Ringer was very shy. With great reluctance, he began to attend classes in the taekwondo section.
Looking for a vocation
The biography of the future star began in 1996. The boy was born in Dallas on November 18 in a family with Indian roots. The mother herself took her ten-year-old son to the sports section, which was part of the American Taekwondo Association.
Noah was very reluctant to go to class at the beginning. However, the boy soon became interested in training and very quickly began to demonstrate success. He took part in competitions. At the end of 2008, Ringer was awarded the first black belt degree.
A classmate's shaved head aroused ridicule from the guys. By analogy with the hero of the cartoon "Avatar: The Legend of Aang", the schoolchildren called the young fighter Avatar. The striking resemblance to Aang was also noticed by the master Noah Erik Pechasek.
The instructor, barely looking at the animated series, noted the similarities between the characters of the student and the character. Offended by the nickname of the boy, he offered to see for himself the reason for his feelings. The chagrin passed after the first series. Noah instantly became a real fan of the project.
In July 2008, the mentor received an invitation from ATA for students. Paramount Pictures has announced the casting for the role of Aang in Avatar: The Legend of Aang. Pechasek hardly persuaded Ringer to take part in the selection. Negotiations with the parents went much easier: the father and mother agreed quickly.
A video was sent to the audition. Noah wore an Aang costume made for Halloween last year. The boy masterfully demonstrated the Jahng Bong pole-staff exercise and recited a few lines to show his voice.
Confession
A month passed, and the applicant was invited to meet with the director of the film. The official appointment for the role took place a month later after meeting Knight Shyamalan. The young artist was left with a month to prepare for filming. The boy is diligently at the Dallas Young Actors Studio with film director Linda Seto.
Ringer did not leave these classes even after completing his work, having reasoned that as additional education they would greatly help him in his career. Before and during filming, the actor also studied martial arts.
The title of the film was changed to "The Lord of the Elements". Together with colleagues, Ringer took part in the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2010 ceremony. The performer spoke about this in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. Noah also took part in the "Conan" show as a guest.
Since at the time of filming the young actor celebrated his 12th birthday, he could not spend around the clock on the set. The creators of the picture had to go for a trick. In some shots, Aang is standing with his back. On these occasions, he was played by a boy with a similar build to Noah.
New roles
In March 2011, Ringer was nominated for the Young Artist Awards for Best Lead in a Feature Film by a Young Actor. In 2011, the young artist appeared before the fans in a new image.
His hero this time was Emmett Taggard and the fantasy adventure film "Cowboys vs. Aliens". According to the plot, a stranger who has lost his memory appears in the forgotten province of the Wild West in 1873.
He understands that he is not welcome here at all, and creepy creatures are terrorizing the town. Gradually, the hero remembers everything and realizes that only he can help the inhabitants.
Noah successfully continues to practice martial arts. During filming, he began to study Wushu, Taijiquan and Baguazhang. He did not stop improving his skills in American taekwondo.
Noah made his debut at the World Championships in Arkansas. In each of the categories in which he took part, the athlete took the highest place. After seeing extreme performances at the tournament, Ringer came to the conclusion that he needed training in such skill.
He began his studies at Extreme Martial Arts, the School of Extreme Martial Arts. The main argument in her favor was the freedom of choice of music and movements for the shows. Noah has mastered various types of oriental weapons superbly.
He is fluent in the bo used by his character Aang in the picture. The actor played the role of Avatar in two more films of this series in 2011 and 2012.

The performer does not stop his sports career. During his first two years at ATA, Ringer participated in 25 competitions. They received one hundred awards, 80 of them were of the highest dignity.
Having become the "Rival of the Year" in February 2008, the young master received the title of Texas Champion of the season in five nominations, among which there are traditional and extreme forms of competition, sparring.
