Radik Gareev is a Bashkir singer who managed to conquer the audience with a brilliant performance of both operatic parts and pop songs. In 1983, his contribution to the development of artistic culture was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Bashkir ASSR, and later he was awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.
Biography
Radik Arslanovich Gareev, this is how the full name of one of the most famous Bashkir singers sounds, was born in the small village of Yanaul on March 23, 1956. The boy's family was large. Radik Arslanovich has five brothers and three sisters. But, despite various difficulties, the singer's parents managed to pay attention to each of the children and develop their talents.

Music was often played in the Gareevs' house. Be it a musical composition of the Soviet stage or a folk song in Russian, Tatar or Bashkir languages, the children always sang along with their parents. So, Radik realized that music is his real vocation.
In 1979, the young man entered the music school without difficulties, after graduating from which he continued his studies at the Ufa Institute of Arts.

In the second year, his strong voice, allowing him to perform both classical and pop compositions, bright appearance, incredible efficiency and ability to stay on stage were noticed. Radik Gareev was invited to work at the opera house, which became a second home for the singer.
Career and creativity
Radik Gareev loudly declared himself in 1983, when he received the first prize of the 9th International Festival of Political Song in the city of Sochi "Red Carnation".

After the victory, the aspiring singer was invited to work at the Sochi Philharmonic. But he refused. Later, Gareev was offered favorable terms of cooperation by the best theaters in Moscow. He was also called to work in America.
But Radik Arslanovich invariably chose his native Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater, which he headed in 1990. Thanks to his love and care, the opera house was able not only to survive a difficult time for the whole country, but to become a real temple of art. Although there were often empty seats in the hall, it was here that people went in an effort to at least for a short while distance themselves from their problems.
However, in 1994 a change of power took place in the republic. Gareev, like most of the leaders, was not pleasing to the new government. He was very upset with the removal from the leadership of the theater and became often ill.

Radik Gareev died on October 29, 1996. He was 55 years old. The singer was buried in a Muslim cemetery in Ufa.
Family and personal life
A talented musician and just a handsome man, Radik Gareev was not deprived of the attention of women. But all his life he lived with one woman, his wife Nagia. The couple raised two children.
