The future State Duma deputy was born on September 30, 1971 in an ordinary Soviet family. Parents at that time lived in the village of Strunino, located not far from the regional center, the ancient city of Vladimir. Three years later, my father was transferred to the city of Vologda, where he began to work at the famous State Bearing Plant. Mother taught literature at school. Alexey learned the letters early and reread all the books that were in the house. In the seventh grade, he began to attend the school of a young journalist and engage in literary work. After the tenth grade he was accepted as a correspondent in the editorial office of the factory large-circulation "Vologda Bearing".
Professional activity
Demobilized from the armed forces in 1992, Kanaev returned to journalism and took up the position of production editor of regional television news programs. After some time, he initiated the creation of the city TV channel "Province" in Cherepovets. Soon the local radio station "Transmit" began broadcasting. Alexey's creativity in the information field was appreciated by local residents. In 2002 he was elected a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Vologda Region. Here he worked as a member of the Committee for Ecology and Information Support.
To meet the requirements of the times, Kanaev graduated in 2009 in the direction of "management of municipal enterprises" at the International Institute of Management and Marketing. Two years later, Aleksey Valerianovich took the position of deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Vologda Region. Supervised the directions of budgetary policy, environmental issues and the development of the agricultural sector. In 2016, Kanaev was elected to the State Duma in a single-mandate constituency.
