In 2008 Igor Lastochkin headed the KVN team “Dnepropetrovsk National Team”. The guys had both ups and downs, but in the end most of them became successful representatives of Ukrainian and Russian show business, including their captain. What is Igor Lastochkin doing now? Why did he disappear from the screens of Russian television channels?

Biography of KVN-schik, actor and TV presenter

Igor Lastochkin has a very interesting biography. He was born in Kazakhstan, in the city of Shymkent, in November 1986. When the boy was 7 years old, his family moved to Tashkent, where he graduated from a comprehensive school.

When the boy was in high school, his parents broke up. Igor, his brother and mother had to move to their relatives in Ukraine. Soon the question arose about choosing a profession, and the guy made a slightly wrong decision - instead of the desired energy university, he chose a metallurgical one. Having figured it out, he decided not to change directions, but to plunge headlong into KVN in parallel with his studies.

The active student had plenty of acting experience. While still at school in Tashkent, he took part in all public events and performances, and in leading roles, and even managed to go in for sports. His talents were also noted at the State Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine, more precisely, in the initiative group, which recruited members of the KVN student team.

Igor Lastochkin in KVN

He did not immediately become the team captain, but immediately attracted attention. The first role in KVN for Igor Lastochkin was a frightened and insecure freshman. The hero did not even have words in miniature, but Igor conveyed his feelings and emotions so subtly that, according to the jury and the audience, he “put the audience down”.

Very quickly, entertainment became the meaning of life for Lastochkin. His debut took place in the Steel Project and +5 teams. In 2008 he was invited to a new group, but already as a captain. With a team called "Dnepropetrovsk National Team" Igor reached a new level of KVN - he represented Ukraine in international games.

In fact, the team existed for 5 years - from 2008 to 2013, but even later, after the official departure from KVN, the guys continued to perform together as part of the humorous Ukrainian show "League of Laughter".

Maslyakov Lastochkin and his teammates from the Dnipropetrovsk National Team announced their departure from the project in 2013, after the end of the next season of the Major League. In the history of the team there were ups and downs, annoying blunders and loud victories, but the heroes of their miniatures are still remembered - this is a daring market kitten performed by the captain, a husband from the "Lenochka and Igor" number and many others. The guys often use these images in their performances even now.

TV career or life after KVN

Just a year after leaving the post of captain of the Dnipropetrovsk National Team, Igor Lastochkin was already a member of two high-profile projects - Once Upon a Time in Russia and Comedy Club Dnepr Style. Colleagues in the OVR highly appreciated Lastochkin, he was in no way inferior in acting skills and in the level of talent to such KVN champions as Musagaliev, Kartunkova, Tsallaev, Dorokhov, but he did not work in the program for long. A couple of years later, when the political situation became seriously aggravated, Igor made a decision in favor of his homeland, Ukraine.

Since 2016, Igor Lastochkin has become a permanent member of the Ukrainian League of Laughter, the host of the comic television project Make a Comedian Laugh. Until 2018, he still took part in some episodes of the Russian show "Once Upon a Time in Russia", but then completely focused on his career in Ukraine.

In his interviews, Lastochkin emphasized that he did this not for political reasons, but because there was a choice between projects, employment did not allow him to physically keep up everywhere. Then he decided to spend more time where not only his favorite work and career prospects, but also close people.

After leaving the OVR, he had time in his work schedule, which allowed him to try himself as a dancer in the framework of the Ukrainian "Dancing with the Stars". Igor performed in tandem with Ilona Gvozdeva, the duet "took" the main prize of the show. In 2019, Lastochkin became a member of the team working on the Kvartal 95 show.

Personal life

The actor, TV presenter and showman is married, happily married to Anna Portugalova, a former university dorm roommate. The girl mastered the profession of a financier at the academy. The boys' dorm rooms were facing each other, and it’s not surprising that the young people's friendships quickly turned into romantic relationships.

Igor and Anna officially registered their relationship in early June 2011. Three years later, on the first day of April 2014, their son Radmir was born. Lastochkin believes that this is a kind of sign - if a son was born on April Fool's Day, then he is simply destined to become, like dad, a comedian. So far, the boy, due to his young age, has not chosen a profession, but he is already showing his acting talent.

For several years the family literally existed in different cities, Igor rarely appeared at home, wandering between Moscow, Kiev and Dneprodzerzhinsk, where Anna and Radmir lived. In 2018, he moved his wife and son to Kiev, which now allows him to devote much more time to them.
